Okay, here is another variation on the Thursday Thirteen

Ten reasons why I LOVE the Olympics:

1. How close races make my heart beat faster


2. Those awesome come from behind wins


3. When the underdog wins


4. How some people can seem to do the impossible


5. Seeing athletes crying, unabashed, on the podium as their national anthem is played


6. The opening and closing ceremonies


7. Feeling like I win when US athletes win, as if they did it for all of US (silly, I know)


8. Hearing The Star Spangled Banner played when we win gold


9. Feeling like my scream, and jumping up and down in front of the TV will make them go faster


10. World competition and sportsmanship
