Andrew Anecdotes ~ The Nap Mat

Lately, Andrew has been having trouble staying on his nap mat at MDO. We had finally got hi to take naps there before Christmas, but since we came back after the holidays he hasn't been napping. More recently, he just won't stay on it to rest either. So, we have started to "practice" at home. If he stays on the mat until the timer goes off he gets a treat. Marc is going to pick Andrew up from school and I was telling him that if Andrew stays on his mat at school to take him for some (then I spelled) i-c-e-c-r-e-a-m. Andrew then says "I'm getting candy?" Marc tells him no that is not what mommy said and then Andrew tells us "then it was ice cream". WHAT!?! When did he learn to "spell". I mean we don't do it all that often. I am just wondering if he heard us talking about it before and remembered that we said we'd get him ice cream if he did it. Any, it was funny.


We may not be able to get Andrew to stay on the mat.

Bruce doesn't seem to have the same problem.

When we took Bruce in the other day for boarding when we went to Lubbock we got him weighed. The porker weighs 103 lbs!!!!! Labs are suppose to weight like 75 lbs. I give him a few more pounds than what they say the average is b/c he is a lot taller than what the standard says, but 103!!!!! He doesn't seem like he should weigh that much. So, now we are going to have to take him on some walks and watch what he eats. I am convinced it is all the little extras he gets from Andrew leaving food within puppy reach, and all the stuff that falls on the floor.
