Andrew Anecdotes

Well, last week we finally did it, we got rid of the pacifier. It was so time. He was only using them and night and for naps (for the most part). I figured it was now or never. I thought about all the ways to go about it, cutting the tips and stuff like that, but I decided to "rip the band-aid off quickly" and go cold turkey. We took all the "pa's" and put them in one of his favorite things, the garbage can outside. I was surprised at how well he did. He didn't cry and would tell me "garbage man, pick up" then make the noise and raise his arm to show me what would happen. He has only asked for them a few times when it is time to go to sleep, but thank God there have been no fits or crying for "pa!" I think I have had more anxiety worrying weather or not he would be upset. Occasionally, he will still tell me "garbage man, pick up pa, dump, dump" and I say "yes the garbage man took them away" and he laughs.
